Star positions are worked out for the hour from the catalogue (proper motion, parallax and aberration), in the same sidereal frame as the planets, with Lahiri ayanamsa. For the 36 stars compared, Swiss Ephemeris's own star file agrees within 2.4 arc-seconds. The Moon and planets are placed as seen from the Earth's centre; from your own place the Moon can look up to about 1° away from its spot here. The figure lines are our own; each yogatara is given by at least two of the sources listed above.

Singh Rashifal for 21 Nov: Work, Love and Health
Aaj ka Singh rashifal, read from your Moon sign. Singh (सिंह) is the 5th rashi, 120° to 150° of the sidereal zodiac, ruled by the Sun, and it holds all four padas of Magha, all four padas of Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni pada 1. In English it is called Leo, but here it means the sign the Moon was in at your birth, not your birthday sign. Every line below names its graha, the house that graha holds from Singh and the classical verse behind it.
Chandrashtama: go gently?

A name rashi is the janma rashi only when the name was chosen from the birth nakshatra's syllable. Each fact is given in at least two classical texts, and where the texts differ both readings are shown. Left out: the element (tattva), which only one of the texts we read gives (Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra 4); and any colour, number or stone for a rashi, which none of them ties to good fortune.

Questions
Singh Rashi Questions
Who is the lord (swami) of Singh rashi?
The Sun, the lord of Singh, is in Vrishchik on 21 Nov, the 4th house from Singh, until 15 Dec, 11:55 PM. The Sun rules Singh in every classical text we read: Brihat Jataka 1.6, Saravali 3.11 and Phaladeepika 1.6. The Sun rules no other rashi.
Which name letters (naam akshar) belong to Singh rashi?
On 21 Nov, the Moon is in Meen; its next stay in Singh runs from 29 Nov, 11:13 PM to 2 Dec, 4:29 AM: a child born in those hours has Singh as janma rashi. Singh's nine name syllables, one for each nakshatra pada, are Ma, Mi, Mu, Me (Magha 1–4); Mo, Ta, Ti, Tu (Purva Phalguni 1–4); Te (Uttara Phalguni 1). A name starting with one of them gives Singh as the name rashi, which matches the janma rashi only when the name was chosen from the birth nakshatra.
Which nakshatras are in Singh rashi?
On 21 Nov, the Moon is in Revati; its next pass through Singh begins in Magha pada 1, from 29 Nov, 11:13 PM. Singh covers 120° to 150° of the sidereal zodiac: all four padas of Magha, all four padas of Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni pada 1, nine nakshatra padas in all, as every rashi has (Brihat Jataka 1.4, Hora Sara 1.13). If your rashi is Singh, your birth nakshatra is one of these.
What are Singh rashi people like?
They are described as brave and generous, firm in their views and close to their mother; the texts also give them a broad face. These are the points that at least two of Brihat Jataka 17.5, Saravali 23.30 and Hora Sara 29.5 share. Brihat Jataka 17.13 adds that this picture holds in full only when the Moon, Singh and its lord the Sun are all strong in the birth chart, and Hora Sara 29.13 that a graha joining or aspecting the Moon changes it, so your own kundli says more than the rashi alone.
When do Sade Sati and Shani dhaiya start and end for Singh rashi?
Shani dhaiya (ashtama, Saturn in the 8th) is running for Singh on 21 Nov: Saturn is in Meen, the 8th house from Singh. It began on 29 Mar 2025 and ends with Saturn's final exit on 23 Feb 2028, with Saturn stepping out of it from 2 Jun 2027 to 19 Oct 2027. The next Sade Sati for Singh begins on 12 Jul 2034 and ends with Saturn's final exit on 25 Sep 2041, with Saturn stepping out of it from 27 Jan 2041 to 6 Feb 2041. Each span runs from Saturn's first entry to its final exit, with every pause shown, and is counted from the Moon sign as Phaladeepika 26.22–23 and Brihat Samhita 104 count it. Classically Sade Sati and dhaiya ask for steady effort and patience; neither is a fixed outcome.
When does the time change for Singh rashi?
Rahu moves into Makar and Ketu into Kark on Wednesday 25 Nov, 7:16 AM, the 6th and 12th houses from Singh (true node; by the mean node many almanacs print, on 5 Dec); Jupiter moves into Kark on 24 Jan 2027, 3:01 PM, the 12th house from Singh; Saturn moves into Mesh on 2 Jun 2027, 7:58 PM (EDT), the 9th house from Singh. Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu–Ketu stay in a sign for many months, so their changes set the background for Singh, and each change above names the house it brings. The daily reading on this page weighs all nine grahas together, and no rashi has a good or a poor time as a whole.
What is Singh rashi in English?
On 21 Nov, at 9:43 AM, the Sun is in Scorpio 29°18′ by the tropical zodiac that birthday signs use, but in Vrishchik 5°04′ by the sidereal zodiac of Vedic astrology. Singh is called Leo in English, yet a rashi is the Moon's sign at birth in the sidereal zodiac, not the birthday sign, so someone whose birthday makes them Leo need not have Singh rashi.
